Most of us know the events surrounding the birth of Jesus as much through Hallmark cards and movie franchises as through the pulpit and pages of the Bible. “Immanuel: A Christmas Meditation” offers a fresh perspective on these familiar events through spoken word and song. Our culture may have reduced Christmas to the confines of a two-dimensional greeting card, but the reality of the Incarnation will always be gloriously multidimensional to all who will simply stop, and consider.

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”

Candy. Carnival games. Bouncy house. Candy. Dunk tank. Face painting. Box maze. Candy. Costumes. Candy. CANDY. What’s not to like?

Luke Skywatcher, Only-One Kenobi, and Yoma are the three wise men in this Christmas-themed Star Wars spinoff. The question at hand: Where do you place your hope? Yoma hopes in his family and friends, and Only-One Kenobi hopes in his appearance, while Luke Skywatcher hopes in science. What happens when these things let you down? Where should we place our hope? The three wise men follow a mysterious star in the sky to find the answer.

Luke Skywatcher, Only-One Kenobi, and Yoma continue to follow the mysterious moving star. Dirty, tired, and hungry, Luke and Yoma grumble and complain, but Only-One Kenobi is more jazzed than ever. Why? Because he knows where the star is leading them!

Where would you expect to find the newborn king of Israel? In Jerusalem, of course! But when the three wise men arrive at the palace, they run into the wicked King Herod–and no baby Jesus!

After a long, painful, and dangerous journey following a mysterious star, the three wise men end up in a stable (or garage, depending on how you look at it). And who do you think they find there?

What do you put your hope in?

Just a few reasons why we love our moms!

And this.

A recap of the awesome time CC Lake Stevens and CC Marysville had at Camp Casey.

What an awesome week learning that Jesus gives us hope, courage, love and power!
We had a blast opening up our church to the kids and youth of Lake Stevens for a night of carnival games, dance parties, arts and crafts, and so much more! This is our way of redeeming October 31st for the Lord. Jesus overthrew Satan, overcame evil, conquered sin, killed death, and invited us to share in His victory and joy now and forever, and we get to celebrate that every day of our lives! Why not take a holiday full of so much darkness and fill it with the light of the gospel?

Meet the most generous man in the world–a man who lives to give, but whose pride keeps him from accepting anything…from anyone. Don’t let your pride keep you from receiving the free gift of Jesus Christ!

We look back on all God has done in the life of our church in 2016, and look forward to what He has in store!

Our 18 to 20-somethings always look forward to Renew’s January retreat at Tall Timber in Leavenworth, WA. It’s a great time of worship, fellowship, study, discussion, and inordinate quantities of fun. Gatherblast!

This Valentine’s Day, we asked some of our kids and teens what they thought about love. Here’s what they said!

Our annual high school winter retreat was a blast!

“He who has an ear, let him hear…” -Jesus

Every aspect of motherhood is a glorious expression of God’s nature, His heart toward His children, and the way He interacts with us. We took a few minutes to ask moms how they see motherhood as an expression of the gospel. Happy Mother’s Day!
